Learnıng Goals

At the end of the unit, students will be able to:

  • Discuss travel and vacation habits and trends of Turks, and compare these with those in the US.
  • Prepare short monologues to solve various potential instances of travel mishaps (lost ID, etc.)
  • Compare and contrast transportation systems in Turkey and elsewhere.
  • Identify cultural elements and practices regarding Dolmuş.
  • Make a list of items one needs to take with them while on a long bike trip.
  • Analyze a poem and identify synonyms based on the context/contextual clues.
  • Prepare a travel plan/ itinerary.
