Writing 2

Exercise A:

Brainstorm family members present in your life.

Based on your reading, divide your day into different periods, such as morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Label each period in Arabic and list at least one activity related to each period.

In a diagram, write the days of the week and at least one favorite activity for each day.

List your favorite hobbies, food, weather, and seasons.

Look through the readings for vocabulary words and constructions that would be helpful when talking about your life.

Make a list of other words and constructions that you might need.  Remember to maximize your language before looking up new words or constructions.

Assemble a rough draft made up of the elements you have assembled above. Focus on getting your thoughts in order rather than accuracy at this point.  Are there elements missing?

In groups, share an overview of your life with your classmates, focusing on your weekly routines and activities. Provide constructive feedback on vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure. Discuss any differences in your activities and suggest improvements to reinforce language use.

Exercise B:

Using your draft from Exercise A, write about a typical week in your life. Incorporate the vocabulary and grammar you have learned to describe your routines and activities. Share what makes your week unique and provide a glimpse into your daily life.
